INSPIRE EMPLOYABILITY ACCELERATION PROGRAMME 2024*

Introduction

Inspire Employability Acceleration Programme (EAP) 2024 consist of 6 core modules and a value added workshop on resume writing and job interview skills that have been curated based on deepunderstanding the specific needs of the Malaysian job market and the skills that are in high demand. To ensure the programme is effective and relevant, references were also made on current research findings and global trends in the job market.

In addition to the online training modules delivered by industry seasoned industry practitioners, EAP 2024 also includes career coaching and mentoring services by a team of Inspire Coaches and Mentors with relevant experience.

The fourth component of EAP 2024 offers internship matching opportunities whereby the university students seeking internship opportunities will be matched with companies within Inspire members and friends network seeking interns.

Training Programme Modules

Module 1: Digital Literacy and Technology Skills

Relevance: In an increasingly digital world, proficiency in digital tools and platforms is essential. For Malaysia, with its growing tech industry and digital economy, these skills are even more critical.

Research Reference: Studies like the World Economic Forum's "Future of Jobs Report" often emphasize the importance of digital skills across various industries.

Module 2. Communicate with Influence

Relevance: Effective communication, both in written and verbal forms, is crucial in almost every profession. This includes the ability to clearly convey ideas, engage in active listening, and adapt communication styles to different audiences and cultures.

Research Reference: Research by LinkedIn and other job market analytics often lists communication as a top skill sought by employers.

Module 3. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking for Workplace Application

Research Reference: Critical thinking and problem-solving consistently appear in skills gap surveys, such as those conducted by the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF).

Module 5. Emerging Leadership Skills

Module 6. Resume Writing and Job Interview Skills Workshop

Resume is the first impression that a prospective employer gets of a candidate, so it needs to be acarefully composed document. This workshopwill showcase how to produce an effective resumethat will give candidates a better chance of being successful in their search for a job. The second halfof the workshop focuses on critical success factors for effective interviewing.
